Walk the Dinosaur

Today we went on this great adventure hunting long extinct dinosaurs. Here in Texas there is a prime hunting ground for such an adventure. This hunting ground is located just west of Glenn Rose off State Highway 67 and is called Dinosaur Valley(state park).
After driving through the front gates we arrived at a big clearing and there in the clearing we spotted two very distinct dinosaurs... we got as close as we could and snapped a couple pictures...

Here the kids got really close to the friendly one... although I was afraid she might step on the kids she did keep her distance.

We got back into our transporter and drove down to their watering hole. OK really it was a river but definitely a place to wet ones whistle.
We had to cross the river by stepping on large stones. Because it has been raining so much lately the river is fairly high but we managed quite well. It has also caused the rivers to be a little more murky than normal so all we could see for tracks was this one.

It made the hunt difficult but we searched all up and down the river to find more. Alas there were no more to be seen. We do know there are more but we just couldn't see them.

So we played..
here are some pictures of us playing.

This is absolutely a place we want to visit more often. Dinosaur hunting was so much fun. If ever you are in Texas try to get down there. You won't regret it!

That looks awesome! Declyn and Shayne would go crazy for the Dinosaur Park. I know I keep saying we will come out for a visit...hopefully before the kids are too old to have any fun there! Tell Lance that I think he is looking very buff. The steroids must be working well for him! :D Love you guys!
